It’s that time of year again and Halloween is right around the corner. You can find decorations in everywhere and costume stores seem to be popping up all over the place. I found the idea for these cake pops at Bakerella.com and thought they were so cute. So here they are. A mummy, werewolf, and jack-o-lantern. A spooky addition to any Halloween festivity.

This last weekend I had the opportunity to make a pirate cake for a birthday party and it was so much fun. The invitation for the party became my inspiration and I ran with it. This is a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and fresh strawberries. The decorations and accents are a combination of chocolate, fondant, and buttercream. Ships Ahoy 🙂

This was a cake that I recently did for a bridal shower. The sister of the bride gave me the colors she wanted on the cake and mentioned that her sister liked animal print as well. This is the design I came up with. The zebra and cheetah print were painted on fondant pieces by hand.Animal Print Cake

Here is a close up of the cheetah print ‘J’ and a better view of the design on the top of the cake.
