50th Birthday Celebration

This three tiered cake was made for a 50th birthday celebration. It was designed to match the invitation that they sent out to all their guests. The flowers are made out of sugar paste and the 50 on the top made from fondant. The bottom tier was a rich dark chocolate cake with a smooth caramel buttercream filling. The 2nd tier was a sweet lemon cake with lemon buttercream and tart fresh raspberries. Finishing off the cake was the strawberry shortcake top tier. This is composed of white cake with a layer of sweet strawberry buttercream and fresh strawberries.
